Jim Harbourne has spent the last two years specialising in Playwriting at Queen Margaret University. Alongside his playwriting work, he has collaberated musically with fellow students' theatre work, which has seeded an interest in a career writing music for the theatre.

His musical life started young as a chorister in the accomplished choir of St Mary's, Hitchin before joining bands, playing solo, writing and recording an album and all the while learning skills in compsition, arrangement, performance and production.

He is fluent in many genres and styles, and can play bass, guitar, piano, synth/programming, drums and percussion and, most recently, accordian. He is always excited by a musical challenge.
