Fresh Air
Walking around Edinburgh during the festivals it can be very easy to be overcome by all the people, all the noise and all the flyering. Everyone needs there own time to just take a breather and relax. An afternoon story-telling show on the Royal Mile should fit the bill.
George, Steven and Louise graciously invite you into their home to take part in their own storytelling adventures. They use cake, tea and glitter dust to brew together own stories and tell the adventure of their friend ‘Twine’, a live-action puppet, who leaves their cozy environment in order to find a new place to call home.
The three storytellers and the live-action puppeteer are able to attribute thoughts and emotions to the puppet without ever making him speak. By the end of the story you are totally engrossed in the adventures of Twine through the ability of the storytellers and the music that accompanies the show. Whilst the show is part of the children’s program there are more than enough laughs, in a Pixar-esque style, for the elder members of the audience. Plus, there was free cake at the end. Tip-top.
Watch out for the crowd of people – “What am I doing on this website? I thought I was in Twine.”
