Production-Based Workshop: Feral
To enhance audience engagement with and beyond the performance of our productions, we often provide wrap-around activities in the form of participatory projects, workshops and discussions. Our production Feral tours with the provision of bespoke two-hour workshops for young adults in school, college, university and community settings. These workshops explore the innovative technology used within Feral and allow participants to get hands-on experience with making their own live animation piece of theatre.
Education packs, made specifically with links to the Curriculum for Excellence, were also provided as an educational resource to be used both pre and post-performance. These packs provided discussion and debate prompts surrounding the themes of the production, a basic technical breakdown of how the visuals and sounds of Feral were created and a project guide for participants to create their own short film based on one of the characters from the show.
❝
The workshops introduced a unique way of creating a modern performance combining puppetry and multimedia.
It was a very special opportunity for young people to learn about various components of a theatre show and about numerous means of theatre expression
