Ginger – Theatre In Schools Scotland
Between October 2024 and February 2025 we took Ginger out to primary schools around Scotland as part of Theatre in Schools Scotland with Imaginate and National Theatre of Scotland.
From Edinburgh to Stornoway, we visited 24 schools performing to 3204 Primary 1-4s.
Accompanying each performance the children were invited to take part in a post-show activity where they decorated their own gingerbread people with Ginger herself. We provided the schools with decorating materials and let the children use their imagination to create their own gingerbread person. As part of the tour we visited six Gaelic schools across Glasgow. Supported by Glasgow Life we worked with Gaelic artist MJ Deans who introduced Gaelic language into the post show activity.
